INTERREG : Regions4Food
This INTERREG project aims to put digital at the core of the agrifood production in order to fully benefit from the solutions offered by new technologies and address the challenges of this sector.
The project
The Regions 4Food ambition is to put digital at the core of the agrifood production in order to fully benefit from the solutions offered by new technologies and address the challenges of this sector.
This project launched in 2018 counts 7 European partners. Among them, the Pays de la Loire Regional Council. The lead partner of the R4F project is the Andalusian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development:
-Seinajoki Uniersity of Applied Sciences, South Ostrobothnia, Finland
- Art-Er Consortium for innovation, Emilia-Romagnia, Italy
- Limburg Province, Netherlands
- South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency, Hungary
- Pazardjik Regional Administration, Bulgaria
For this purpose, 7 regions have decided to join efforts to face new challenges by developing an exchange of experience approach which allow them to create synergies and opportunities by identifying good practices implemented in other regions
Partners will work in close cooperation with stakeholders to interconnect regional innovation ecosystems. Best practices for each region will be integrated in regional action plans in order to improve the targeted policy instruments, governance or to implement projects that will contribute to achieving the above-mentioned goal.
This five-years project is divided in two phases:
- The three first years (Phase I 2018-2021) are dedicated to the exchange of good practices, to the study visits and the elaboration of each region’s action plan.
- The last two years (Phase II 2021-2023) are dedicated to the implementation of each action plan at the regional level, and the dissemination of results of these action plans.
Regions 4Food is a 1 502 890 € project with a budget of 179 350€ for the Pays de la Loire Regional Council (ERDF co-funding included).
